Ahirunopekkle (あひるのペックル, Ahiru No Pekkuru), also known as just Pekkle (ペックル, Pekkuru), is a male duck character from the Japanese company Sanrio. He has white feathers with orange legs, feet, and bill and wears a t-shirt.
Pekkle is a gentle, kind-hearted boy who loves to dance; he especially enjoys tapdancing and is taking tap lessons. Whenever his friend Pitch claps, Pekkle likes to dance to the beat. He also plays the keyboard for Hapidanbui.
Ranking in the Sanrio Character Ranking
In the 2013 Sanrio Character Ranking, if Pekkle reaches 20th place, he will chew something with his duck mouth. However, he failed to reach that rank.
Pekkle is one of the most popular characters in Hong Kong according to this ranking. He won 4 consecutive wins in the region. However, in 2022, Minna no Tabo outshined Pekkle and became no. 1 in that region. That said, Pekkle is still a popular character in Hong Kong to this day.

Official description (2001)
A wanna-be lifeguard who has a little trouble swimming, Pekkle hails from Australia. He is extremely loyal, especially to his girlfriend Ruby and his constant aquatic companion, Pich the fish. As clumsy as he appears, Pekkle is a very talented dancer and body surfer and most times you can find him down on the beach with his friends. His birthday is July 27th. [1]
