Noberun (Newton) is a fictional character in Keroppi and Friends. He was voiced by Elva Mai Hoover.
Background
Noberun is the thinker and the trustworthy one in Keroppi's group of friends. He wants to follow the footsteps of his father and become a weather forecaster for the government weather bureau (he can predict hurricanes with amazing accuracy). While Noberun is not much of an athlete, he more than makes up for it by conducting experiments and inventing stuff. When he and his friends go out for a swim, he uses his homemade camera to take pictures of them.
Appearance
Noberun orignally had a turquoise skin, and wore a pair of black glasses and a white shirt and with a light blue button on it. In later episodes, his skin was dark green, and he wears a blue shirt with a yellow buttons on it.
For winterwear, Noberun wears an orange jacket with a white collar and light yellow mittens.[2]
For swimwear, Noberun wears a cornflower blue bathing suit.
For rainwear, Noberun wears a light purple raincoat.
Storyline
In "Find the Pink Mushroom", Noberun helps Keroppi to find a way to cure Koroppi when he had the frog fever. He was later seen in the end of the episode with Koroppi and Kyorosuke when they introduce themselves to Marcus.
In "Let's Play Baseball", he was part of the Keroppies team and plays baseball against the Gammas to give Koroppi and Kyorosuke their playing field back.
In "The Adventures of the Coward Prince", Noberun watches the coward prince movie, but during the movie, he asks Keroppi why he let the bullies get away with taking their seats away. He was also seen in the end applauding when the movie ended.
In "The Frog's Secret House", when he gets lost in time with Ganta, Keroleen, Keroppi, and Kyorosuke, he meets Isaac and spends the night with him at his house. The next day, Noberun and his friends work together to build a treehouse for Kerada, Meroleen, Speedy, Isaac, and Nelson.
When Noberun meets Choro the snake in "Let's Be Friends", he gets scared of him at first, but they become friends after he finds out that he wasn't like the poisonous snake in his encyclopedia.
He even attended Mr. Johnson's tea party with Keroppi and his friends in "Our Treasure", and along the way, they meet Mrs. Edwards and Marie and listened to Mr. Johnson's funny stories.
