Monta (もんた Monta) is a Sanrio character and Monkichi's best friend. He is a cool prankster and is very good at speedily getting away unnoticed.
Monta is seen as the leader in their group of friends. He loves his friends but can be a bit proud towards his best friend Monkichi. Monta and his friend Momochan are rumored to like each other, a Sanrio blog post said Momochan "might be having a secret fling with Monta".
Monta looks very similar to Monkichi but Monta is smaller and his eyes are simple black dots.
