Io — hellokitty

Io (イオ, Io) is a male lop rabbit character from the Japanese company Sanrio, part of the Jewelpet franchise. He is the Jewelpet that represents refreshment and is from the Magical Blue Class.

In Jewelpet, he is one of the Jewel Eight and is initally an antagonist due to Dian's dark magic, before being returned to normal by Ruby and Rinko.

He is a primary antagonist in the fourth anime continuity, Jewelpet Sparkling☆Deco!, being by Opal's side and working with Coal in his mission of defeating the Sparkling Deco Five.

Appearance

Io is a lop rabbit with light brown fur, brown ears, a pink nose and dark blue eyes made from Iolite. For his attire, Io wears a purple ribbon around his neck.

Trivia

His namesake is from his gemstone, Iolite.
In the anime, Io can be seen flying with his ears instead of a broom, similar to Cinnamoroll.
